FAQs
Where can I learn more about Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)?
Dr. Sue Johnson, one of the founders of EFT, provides a wealth of information, videos, and tools for understanding EFT and how it can help relationships on her website.
I also recommend the book "Hold Me Tight: Seven Conversations for a Lifetime of Love" by Dr. Sue Johnson. This is one of the most popular and accessible books on EFT, offering practical tools and insights for couples to deepen their emotional bond.
How much does couples therapy cost?
My fee is $250 for a 50-minute session.
Do you have a sliding scale?
Yes. My sliding scale starts at $200 per session.
Where and when do you see clients?
I currently work with all clients virtually through a secure online platform. I work primarily Monday-Friday but I also have some flexibility on weekends for clients who cannot meet during the week.
How often are sessions?
I see couples anywhere from twice a week to biweekly. At the start, I strongly encourage maintaining a consistent weekly cadence for the best results. However, exceptions can be made, and we can discuss what works best for your situation.
Please note that I have a 48-hour cancellation policy.
Do you offer individual therapy? What about family therapy?
Yes, I also see individual clients as well as family members including siblings, parent and child, co-founders, business partners and co-parents. Learn more about my practice with individuals and families here.
Do you take insurance?
I do not accept insurance directly, but I can provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Many clients find that with ongoing therapy, they are able to meet their out-of-network deductible.
